Big Cloud
The performance "Big Cloud" is part of an on going project focused on Native American heritage and imagery. The performance took place in several locations in Manhattan: Chelsea galleries, Times square and most importantly the Natural History Museum. The chief costume and drum were made out of paper, Tyvek and glue.
Research on Native American heritage and imagery were incorporated into my ideas of preservation and my contemporary visual language. A significant part of the performance was invading spaces that I was not invited into. This project is an invitation for an open dialog between me and the viewers in any given way.
